"(Sangiovese): Helles Rubin, schöner Glanz. Intensive Nase, floral und sehr fruchtbetont, wirkt anfangs fast etwas parfümiert, mit mehr Luft zunehmend komplexer werdend, viele Veilchen, dazu Himbeeren, Sauerkirschen auch Preiselbeeren, später Torfnoten, erdig, mineralisch anmutend, mit sehr guter Komplexität. Am Gaumen straffer Auftakt, deutlich Gerbstoff, fast etwas karg und vereinzelt am Limit der Reife, dafür ist hier auch eine sehr schöne Säure mit im Spiel, strukturiert, spannend, und äusserst trinkanimierend, aktuell noch etwas unruhig, braucht Zeit und viel Luft. Im Abgang von guter Länge. Dieser Wein muss sich noch finden, hat aber hervorragende Anlagen. Die Trauben wurden vermutlich eher früh gelesen um die Säure zu bewahren und den Alkohol in Schach zu halten, was teilweise etwas auf Kosten der Gerbstoff-Qualität ging, doch das ist Kritik auf sehr hohem Niveau.
