"Im Kontext des Alters eine herrlich frische Farbe, nur dezente Orange-Töne, noch immer mit schönem Glanz. Die Nase direkt nach dem Öffnen eine kleine Droge, Torf, Süssholz, Veilchen, Tabak etwas Waldboden, auch Rauch und Lakritze, sehr komplex. Im Gaumen dann nicht ganz auf dem Niveau, welches die Nase verspricht. Der Wein beginnt leicht cremig, ist sehr schön gereift, mittlerer bis kräftiger Körper, abgeschmolzene Tannine, die Säure verleiht noch immer Struktur, die Frucht ist nach knapp 60 Jahren noch immer präsent, verschmilzt im mittellangen Abgang mit Aromen von Süssholz und Weihnachtsgewürzen. Ein top gereifter Wein mit Kraft, Finesse und einer wunderbaren Würze. Viel schöner kann man einen alten Bordeaux nicht geniessen. Trinken. 18 vvPunkte (91/100)."
