"Klares Strohgelb. Ganz klassische Rieslingnase, subtile Frucht im Verbund mit floralen und zart wurzigen Noten, dazu leicht rauchig unterlegt, schon einladend. Sehr mineralisch am Gaumen, pur, rassig, von einer schlanken Radikalitat, die schon beim 2010er Kastanienbusch die Gemuter spaltete. Trotz seiner Lange und Dramatik erscheint mir der Wein etwas alter, als er ist, und auch weniger konzentriert als fruher. Rebholz? Weg bleibt weiter spannend. Dass es dem Wein an Spannung und Mineralitat nicht fehlt, wird niemand abstreiten. Fleischige Sinnlichkeit jedoch kann er nicht bedienen."
